Affiliate and partnership disclosure
Affiliate links
Where we link to a retailer or an app store, that link may carry an affiliate tag. If you buy, we may receive a small commission. This costs you nothing and does not change the price. Affiliate status has no bearing on whether a product appears, what score it gets, or where it ranks — several products we recommend most strongly have no affiliate programme at all.
Our own products
The same publisher makes a number of apps and books on these topics. When one is genuinely the right recommendation we will say so, and we will mark it clearly as ours. When something else is better, we link to that instead.
Partnerships we would accept
- Sponsorship of a whole site or section, disclosed at the top of every affected page, with no input into content.
- Data partnerships where a company provides measurements we could not otherwise obtain, credited in full.
- Licensing our comparison data to third parties.
Partnerships we refuse
- Payment for a review, a score, a ranking position, or an "editorial" placement.
- Any arrangement requiring pre-publication approval of a verdict.
- Undisclosed gifted product in exchange for coverage.
